Wives' Program

Picture
A pastor's wife is a crucial part of his ministry. Clearnote Pastors College prepares the wives of our students to walk with their husbands in the trenches of ministry, knowing the gospel, loving God's people, caring for women in the church, and practicing hospitality.

First Year

In the first year of the Wives' Program, the women study Systematic Theology, allowing them and their husbands to interact together with the doctrines of the historic Christian faith. They meet weekly with experienced elders' and pastors' wives from Clearnote Church, Bloomington, to support one another, bear one another's burdens, and be prepared for life as a pastor's wife. They also learn to lead in the church by serving on the Women's Ministry Committee of Clearnote Church.

Second Year

The second year leads students' wives into a deeper understanding of the gospel and helps them make personal application of God's grace to their own lives and families. They continue to grow in experience by serving on the Women's Ministry Committee.

Third Year

In the third year of their husband's preparation, wives discuss the practicalities of being married to a pastor and how to help in his work by learning how to counsel women. They also prepare to use their homes as centers for ministry by studying Christian hospitality. In this third year, the women are required to lead a committee or group at Clearnote Church and teach a women's Bible study.
