TRAIN THE MEN IN YOUR CHURCH TO BE PASTORS
Pastors should be training the next generation of pastors. Our legacy seminaries are failing. Let New Geneva Academy take you back to the old method of training pastors in the local church.
New Geneva Academy partners with the local church to equip men called to the pastorate and eldership. Without leaving the context of their home church, our students can earn their degrees in as little as three years. By means of distance education, local mentoring, and tailored in-person training, you and NGA, by God's grace, can train up faithful pastors for Christ's Bride.

What WILL YOU DO AS A MENTOR? |
THE NEED
The Church needs mentors, disciplers, and spiritual fathers who understand how to guide and shape the next generation. When the Apostle Paul saw in Timothy a man called by God, he took Timothy with him to do ministry. Paul trained, encouraged, exhorted, and loved Timothy over the long term so that he could become a faithful servant of God who could faithfully shepherd God's people. This pattern is the goal of NGA, and we want to help you achieve it.
Maybe you've ordained new elders from your congregation and want them to have more theological and practical instruction. Maybe you've set a goal of planting churches and need to prepare evangelists to do the work? Maybe you want to see one of your men become a pastor, but you are concerned that if you send him away to seminary in another city he'll have to quit his current job, go into debt, and learn from strangers who do not know him?
WHY NEW GENEVA ACADEMY
At NGA, we believe that the local church is the best context for equipping the men God has called to be faithful leaders. The modern seminary model is largely focused on the academic training of individuals, with little emphasis on the role of the local church. Our conviction is that the local church’s involvement is a key part of shaping and discipling leaders. We want to provide your church with the resources to train your men, whether for pastoring or eldership. And our unique partnership with you is what sets our program apart.
So what would that look like?
TRAINING PASTORS
In our pastors training program, your church provides a mentor (usually the senior pastor or another pastor on staff) who will love and shepherd the student, holding him accountable to godliness and NGA’s standards. We work with the mentor to support and train him as he does the work of mentoring. Through this relationship, as well as a thorough series of practica, the student will come to understand his responsibility to disciple others, too. Our goal is for both mentor and student to grow in their ability and desire to shepherd God's people. Your church will be the beneficiary of that training.
Because academic training is important, NGA is also a rigorous academic program with the classes you would expect from a traditional seminary, including Bible, systematic theology, hermeneutics, and original languages. We deliver classes in a way that allows working men to participate, using a mixture of online resources, live interactive video, and face-to-face teaching. And we place a heavy emphasis on practical training, from preaching to counseling to administrating and beyond.
